Cleshar in association with  Transport for London received two awards as part of the Liverpool Street Escalators 7-9 replacement Project.
The teams firstly received the “Beacon Site Award”, celebrating outstanding HSQE Performance throughout the project. Along with this, the teams received a “Quality Benchmark Site Award”, in recognition for achieving “consistent Quality performance on site”. One of the most challenging aspects of this project was safely removing over 150 tonnes of concrete from a steep escalator shaft. To overcome this, our team designed and introduced an innovative winched trolley system which reduced manual handling risks along with improving efficiencies.
