ITS is accredited by London Underground to deliver a broad range of track safety training courses to our own people, rail contractors and suppliers and, for Network Rail, by the National Skills Academy for Rail (NSAR) and the Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS). Our welding training is also accredited by The Welding Institute (TWI). Reflecting our focus on quality and continuous improvement, ITS has recently gained Qualsafe accreditation to deliver nationally recognised manual handling, first aid at work and emergency first aid training courses (initial and recertification).

All ITS’s trainers hold City and Guilds’ Training and Development and Assessor qualifications. Our team also includes Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualified professionals to provide robust quality assurance of all ITS’s resources, training courses and administration processes.

ITS operates from four fully equipped training centres, each one dedicated to client and discipline-specific safety training. To increase our training capacity, our recently opened training centre at Mercury House offers 660 square metres of floor space comprising seven training rooms, each with 65” screens and accommodating 20 candidates. In addition to our existing extensive training programme, through Qualsafe, ITS is accredited to offer CSCS certification courses at Mercury House.

Our comprehensive training facilities also include a ‘to scale’ tunnel rail section and platform to simulate on-site conditions.
