Councillor Muhammad Butt officially opened Infrastructure Training Services (ITS) new training centre at Mercury House, Heather Park Drive. Infrastructure Training Services is a subsidiary of Cleshar who are a railway engineering contractor, providing services to  all the major rail companies across the UK including London Underground and Network Rail.

Each year, Infrastructure Training Services typically train upwards of 10,000 people on a range of rail technical skills so that they can undertake work on both their Network Rail and London Underground contracts. In association with the Cleshar Academy, ITS annually run apprentice and graduate programs to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge to develop a career in the rail sector. ITS also train and deliver construction skills training.

The opening of Mercury House marks a significant moment for job seekers within our culturally diverse area. 

ITS delivers quality training for individuals who seek skilled technical positions within the rail sector and with the evolving importance of rail infrastructure within our borough and the wider London area, the ability to train and offer employment locally  is incredibly important for Brent.

We are very proud to have secured Councillor Butt for our opening ceremony. Cleshar, who have been established for over 20 years, has ambitious growth plans, but this can only be achieved by recruiting, and delivering training to create a highly motivated, skilled workforce.
