It is with immense sadness that we are writing to you to let you know that  at lunchtime yesterday, Michael Horgan (“Mick”) died peacefully in hospital, after a long and difficult period of ill health.

Mick, with Damian and later Simon, was one of the original founders of the CCS Group of companies in 1992 and it is testament to him that, at all levels in the Company today, there are many whom Mick persuaded to join him in the new venture.

Mick led by the very highest of examples, whether in terms of dedication to the business or in terms of fairness and integrity – loyalty too, both ways, was of paramount importance to him.

With his wonderful sense of humour and determination, he bore the pains of his ill health bravely and stoically – an example to us all.

His death is a huge loss to the Company, where since 2021, he has been a non-executive director - your Board remains deeply committed to continue with CCS’s success and Mick’s legacy.

We know that you will join us in including Mick’s family in our prayers today and in sending our deepest sympathies.
