Today marks the end of the 16-day White Ribbon initiative, an international campaign dedicated to raising awareness and taking collective action to end violence against women and girls.
This global movement reinforces the importance of challenging harmful attitudes, promoting respect, and fostering safer communities for all.
At Cleshar, we proudly embraced this initiative over the past 16 days. In collaboration with Transport for London at our Cockfosters site, we hosted an insightful presentation highlighting the goals and significance of the White Ribbon movement. The White Ribbon symbol was displayed prominently across the site, and many of our colleagues wore ribbons in solidarity, demonstrating their commitment to the cause.
As we close this year’s initiative, our commitment does not end here. We are proud supporters of the Women’s Night Safety Charter, and we remain dedicated to creating safer workplaces and communities by continuing to challenge harmful behaviours, encourage open conversations, and stand with those affected by violence.
We’re also proud to celebrate the new Women’s Night Safety Charter Best Practice Animation, released during the 16 Days of Activism. It highlights practical actions already making a difference across London and gives organisations simple ways to strengthen safety for women and gender-diverse people.
By keeping this momentum going, together we can foster a culture where everyone feels safe, respected, and supported.
