Our clients have demanded that we demonstrate environmentally friendly practices when completing our works. Considering this we have pioneered use of Rootwave as a weeding approach on our contracts. This has delivered more effective weeding results with much less environmental impact than the previous iteration of using sprays and harmful detergents.

• Rootwave uses electricity rather than chemicals to eliminate ground weeds and plants from the embankment and track. The device comprises a generator and a lance and is electrified.
• The operator locates the weed (typically knotweed or buddleia), inserts the prong into the ground and fries the weed base and that eliminates further growth. Weeds then disintegrate naturally and break down into the surrounding environment.
